The Kangaroo Island emu (Dromaius novaehollandiae baudinianus), also known as the dwarf emu, was a unique subspecies of emu that is now extinct. It was endemic to Kangaroo Island, South Australia, and was significantly smaller than its relatives on the Australian mainland.
